Ribbon explores the movement created as the glass components interlock and melt into each other. The bold colours are offset by the use of a white glass, which has been overlaid with a ruby and hyacinth, with clear glass centres.

Each individual component is hand formed in the glass blowing studio before being cast in the kiln. Once the casting process is complete, Charlie hand polishes the glass to achieve the desired effect.
